Year 5 took part in the Big Gig at Northumbria University Sports Central. They played their pocket trumpets alongside many other schools who played a variety of instruments. Their behaviour was fantastic and it was a joy to see them play. Well done.

It was an amazing day as I thought that pocket trumpets were going to be the only instruments taking part in the Big Gig. However, instruments such as violins, cellos, full size trumpets, African drums and much more were also playing beautifully at this event. The best thing about the Big Gig was probably having fun whilst performing to our families. I think that this will be a lovely memory of Year 5.
